Making work a great place to be

We believe that being at work should be an enjoyable and enriching experience. That’s why we make sure that there is a supply of fresh fruit every day, pizza for lunch most fridays and why we offer a complimentary massages at work every 2 weeks. We also give childcare vouchers to offer a little extra help to the parents amongst us, and an extra holiday on your ‘Masternaut Three X’ birthday if you’ve been with us for over 1 year.

We have also developed a Care Team to offer mentors who can be approached with any personal questions, problems or issues.

Business development

A typical day in business development consists of calling potential customers, responding to web alerts, scheduling appointments with prospective customers, coordinating meetings, customer visits, dealing with incoming enquiries and liaising with the sales team.

We strive to keep improving and developing our team’s skills, and regularly set targets for them to work towards. We challenge them to keep up-to-date and learn about all of our new products and solutions, and to know them inside out.

Technical support

The daily routine for our technical support team is focused on acting as a second-line support to our customer service and in-vehicles solutions departments, to help resolve queries and issues. The team oversees installation and service work for all hardware to ensure it is fitted to our high standards.

They work extremely closely with our parent company in France, to make sure we continue to provide market-leading solutions. And they are always busy developing, testing and implementing new systems.

The technical support team work shoulder-to-shoulder with our network providers to make sure our solutions run flawlessly. They work hard to ensure our support system stays up and running 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, and work closely with our providers, our in-house hosting and our production service teams to achieve this.

Sales/Business development

Our sales and business development teams are a busy bunch! A typical day begins by checking emails. They then research the companies they are visiting that day, check their profiles, websites and financial background. Any quotes or orders that need sending can be arranged before setting off for the day. There will usually be between 2-4 appointments for the day which range from new business appointments, to customer service calls, renewal visits or training sessions.

They’re a team of people, who enjoy meeting with customers and understanding their business, their needs, their challenges and where they think we can help them to better themselves. The feedback we’ve had is that they enjoy working in a dynamic, expanding, flexible business that will, ultimately, bend over backwards for the benefit of its customers.

Marketing

Our marketing team work to manage our customer base, qualifying leads, researching companies and making sure that the sales and customer service teams have as much information as possible.

Using initiative, intelligence and creative thinking is a must in order to identify opportunities, generate leads and create powerful solutions for our customers, and the team all benefit from working in an environment where innovation and originality are encouraged.

IT development

This team develops all kinds of IT solutions for both internal and external customers, and have the opportunity to work on all kinds of exciting developments at the forefront of Masternaut Three X’s industry.

They generally work in pairs, which allows them to share knowledge across the whole team and benefit from the experience of team members. They all have the autonomy to develop and research new technologies and features, and are given lots of encouragement and support to build robust software.

Our IT development team get involved in development across the product lifecycle, anywhere from the beginning to the end, and find it satisfying to see their work benefiting businesses in new and exciting ways.

Customer service

As you can imagine, our customer service team are always on the go! Our customers are important to us, and we strive to provide them with the best possible service. The team all share the responsibility of answering incoming calls, and work hard to build relationships with their assigned customers. They then call these customers regularly to make sure they stay on top of their businesses and understand their needs.

They are always taking advice from customers on how to improve the system, so have a lot of influence on Masternaut Three X as a business.

The customer service team is fun and supportive. They work together, drawing on everyone’s individual background and experience, which means they learn a lot.

Finance

Although everyone in the finance team has specific roles, from purchase ledger to sales ledger and expenses, there is a great team spirit and camaraderie within the department. Our culture means they are encouraged to draw on each other’s experience, and their individual opinions are always welcome in helping to overcome a challenge or find new ways of doing things.

Commercial

Being in a dynamic sales-led business means there is no such thing as a typical day! Our commercial team’s main objective is generating orders and rolling them out to our installations teams.

Maintaining a steady flow of work into and out of the business is a skill and as a team, they are also often required to get involved in any associated tasks that will help smooth the flow of work. This can involve sourcing finance for large organisations under tight deadlines, or working with other departments to resolve customer problems.

As they are working with so many of the other parts of the business, they are able to gain a fairly unique overview of the company. Yes there are challenges on a daily basis, but there are also regular examples of outstanding achievement across the board.
